If you manage a board on Pinterest for your business, you may have heard that you can now verify your website on your business’s Pinterest board. It’s super easy once you know what to do. Here’s how to verify your website on Pinterest.
Step 1: Log in to your Pinterest account and go to “Settings”,
Step 2: Enter your website and click “Verify Website”.
Step 3: Download the HTML File and save it somewhere you can easily find it.
Step 4: Open the HTML file using a text editor, such as notepad. Just open anew notepad, click ‘File” and then “Open” and open the HTML file. If you try to open the file directly, it won’t work.
Step 5: Now log in to the backend of your website. If you’re using wordpress.org, it’ll be www.yourwebsitename.com/wp-admin
Step 6: Create a new page (note: page, not post). Just click “Pages” and “Add New”.
Step 7: In the title field, type in the name of the HTML file. It should be something like pinterest58-d61.html. Don’t forget to include the .html!
Step 8: In HTML view, copy and paste the string of code found in your notepad file. Now click “Publish”.
Step 9: Back on Pinterest, click on step 3 and wait a few second. You should see this if everything above has been done correctly:
And you’re done! Now on your Pinterest page, you should see a nifty new check mark next to your website proving that it has been verified.
